ROAD TRIP!!! Is there really any better way to travel than to venture on a road trip with friends or family?? I recently took the kids and husband on a short road trip, but of course we got stuck in traffic and the kids started getting restless!! What is a mother to do?? LOLLIPOPS!! That’s what!! Now I don’t normally like to give my 1 year old a lollipop b/c of the sticky mess, but let me tell you what a great thing it was when we were stuck in the car!! He was so happy for a very long time and that makes for happy parents as well!! I am going to bring them on our next airplane ride too! It is just going to be me and my little guy so I am going to need all the help I can get! We love Dum Dums because they are the perfect size for the kids! And Saf-t-pops are great because they don't even have a stick, but rather a looped cord handle for a much safer lollipop for little ones. Of course the Mini Tootsie Pop is fabulous because after your done licking, you get to chew on the Tootsie Roll inside! Time to stock up…especially with all the summer travel ahead of us!!
Wow! There are so many people out there in the blogsphere writing about candy buffets for weddings! We have done quite a lot of business with wedding planners, MOBs, or even the brides themselves. Ok- but this is kinda funny, remember i am here to talk the truth about candy- not to pull the wool over your eyes. The Sugar Free Jolly Ranchers have the exact same amount of carbohydrate as the regular Jolly Ranchers per serving. Now granted the serving size differs by 1 piece and the calories are cut in 1/2, but sugar free does NOT mean carbohydrate OR calorie free. That is an important point that consumers need to be aware of before making a choice to purchase one of the two. The idea behind the sugar free products is that the sugar is replaced with sugar alcohols which are slowly metabolized carbohydrates and only cause a small rise in blood sugar levels.
Packaged as 12- 3.6oz bags in a 3lbs case providing 288 pieces, the Sugar Free Jolly Ranchers come in the following flavors: watermelon, grape, apple, and raspberry.
Ingredients include: Isomalt, polyglucitol syrup, and 2% or less of the following: malic acid, natural and artifical flavor, acesulfame potassium, artificial color (Red 40, Blue 1, Yellow 5 & 6).
Allergy Concerns are that this product is manufactured on the same equipment that processes milk, and those who are sensitive to sugar substitutes may experience a laxative effect.

Did you know that the name "Jolly Rancher" was used to suggest Western hospitality? The Jolly Rancher Company originated in Golden, Colorado where they served chocolates and soft serve ice cream, and of course candy. They moved the company to Wheat Ridge, Colorado to increase production of their candy line that was in high demand. In 1996 Jolly Rancher Candy was taken over by Hershey.
This assorted fruit flavored hard candy has been around for years, but its quality and powerful flavor haven't changed a bit. Although I think blue raspberry is a newer flavor......
