Friends and Family are Sweet Like Candy!
Ok- so this might be kinda cheesey, but totally funny. I was thinking about how many of my friends and family members remind me of certain candies. For example:
My Husband- he's my BIT-O-HONEY. Not only is this one of his favorite candies, but he is my absolute love and treasure. He's tough, but has that sweetness to him that only I know.
Then there is my Dad. He reminds me of Baskin-Robbins candies. We always bonded over ice cream when I was growing up. Our most favorite flavor was Mississippi Mud! My dad has a very colorful personality and is always full of surprises!
My Mom and Step-Dad are the Royals. They call the shots. They run the show. They are the ones who everyone answers to. Sweet like caramel, but they get hard if ignored!
My In-laws are like Twizzlers. They are very flexible. Will bend over backwards to help out. And they are always dependably sweet.
My Sister-In-Laws (Colorado and Chicago) though very different, can at times be the same. They are like a Caramel Cream. Tough on the outside, but are very soft and sweet at heart.
My brothers and sister in Chicago are always full of laughs when we hang out. They are like Laffy Taffy! Full of good flavor and lots of fun!
Then there are those special friends who I have kept since elementary school! They are my Patriots! I have been through so much with them and we have remained friends for over 20 years!
College friends remind me of Root Beer Barrels. Only b/c those were the ONLY days of my life when I actually drank beer! Of course it was with all of them at various fraternity parties! But they will always be in my heart as my Saf-T-Pops! We always took care of each other and looked after one another.
The new friends I have made since becoming a mom are my Lifesavers! I don't know what I would do without them as I truly depend on them so much. They keep my sanity alive!
Perhaps you should tell someone you love how they remind you of something sweet! Surely some of you have a Sweetart in your lives who Charms the pants off of you! Send them some candy!

I loved your comments on Friends and Family are like Sweet Candy. I totally agree. I think my husband is a SweetTart. He is so sweet with just enough tart to keep him interesting! That happends to be my favorite candy, just like he's my favorie guy.
